A school for professionals and amateurs alike
UAS Changins has had as its main mission, since it was founded, to train professionals, thus providing an essential service to growers and wine producers, oenologists and arborists. The school then turned to their particular problems and has worked to help them find solutions, always within the context of education and the desire to remain close to the needs of professionals in the field.
In 1995, in response to growing demand, Changins began to offer courses for winelovers who wanted to deepen their knowledge and understanding of wine. The Wine School was created in 1999 and began to offer courses to amateurs as well as professionals. The programmes available can be viewed on the Wine School pages.
Services offered
Since the creation of the UAS/HES specialized schools, services have been offered to outside parties: the federal law covering the UAS schools insists that the academic offering must be complemented by outside work, in the field. This research must be self-financed and compete fairly.
You will find details about the services offered to the industry by Changins under Services.
Legislation: current laws always accessible
One of the maxims of the law is that we are all responsible for knowing it – and yet, with constant changes to legislation, this is often difficult. To help we, we provide several links to legislative bodies, where legal information is kept current. The section on Legislation is organized with federal articles first, followed by those of the cantons which are members of the Changins Foundation: Bern, Fribourg, Geneva, Jura, Neuchatel, Ticino, Vaud, Valais.
A few links towards other articles have been added, such as a table comparing oenological practices governed by international laws.
Les formations d'ingénieur HES_SO en Oenologie et Agronomie ont une partie des cours en commun, comme le montre les schémas des formations. De plus, certains cours ont lieu sur le site de Changins ou de Lullier
